Summer Student - Call Centre Assistant

Provides customer service assistance in responding to telephone inquiries and complaints regarding a variety of City products and services specializing in Solid Waste, Roads, Parks, Parking and City tree issues.
Education & Experience
High School Graduate.
A minimum of 6 months customer service experience, dealing directly with clients on the telephone or in person.
A minimum of 35 wpm keyboarding skills.
Language, Certificates & Licenses
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check to the City of Ottawa’s satisfaction.
English oral, reading, writing required.
French oral, reading, writing required.
Candidates must meet language requirement for position upon hire.
Knowledge of the City of Ottawa in general and Knowledge of City of Ottawa services
Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
Competencies & Skills
Adept at using a wide variety of computing software and quick and accurate keyboarding skills.
