Reporting to the Supervisor of the Population Health Approach team, the knowledge exchange specialist is responsible for the initiation, development, implementation, and evaluation of effective knowledge exchange approaches at Ottawa Public Health.
Leveraging leadership skills, the knowledge exchange specialist will advance tools and best practices that facilitate knowledge exchange within OPH and between OPH and partners. The knowledge exchange specialist will work collaboratively with other service areas leaders to build organizational capacity for evidence-based knowledge exchange. A key role will be to disseminate public health information and knowledge to influence the health care system and other partners/stakeholders to better meet population health needs in an equitable way.
Knowledge exchange includes, but is not limited to, the terms knowledge to action, knowledge translation, research use/utilization, knowledge mobilization, and implementation science.
Education & Experience
Master's degree in health sciences or a related field.
Minimum three years of related experience working in the field of knowledge exchange in public health and/or with health care partners.
*Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
Language, Certificates & Licenses
English oral, reading, writing required.
