Senior Data Analytics Strategist

Responsible for developing and implementing data analytics and measurement strategies to facilitate fact based planning and decision making at the City and to enable service improvement projects. The Senior Data Analytics Strategist is a technical leader and subject matter expert for data and analytics including data governance and data management practices. Responsible for leveraging advanced analytics expertise and a strategic mindset to creatively plan and solve business problems.
The Strategist establishes and instills the standards, methods and best practices that enable the data analytics team to consistently provide best-in-class measurement approaches, meaningful analysis and relevant analytical deliverables. The job requires a combination of sophisticated analytical expertise; business acumen; a strategic mindset; client, relationship, and project management; and a passion for enhancing the client experience. The job requires analysis of confidential information including employee and financial data and will require the Strategist to make recommendations and implement decisions on behalf of Senior management that impacts operational efficiency, structure and budget.
Education & Experience
Minimum four (4) year University undergraduate degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum eight (8) years experience working with data and/or quantitative analysis in a data collection, statistical, analytical and performance measurement function. Demonstrated experience as a technical leader and subject matter expert on a skilled team of analytics professionals.
